What is conveyancing?

April 2, 2018 By Keating Law

Conveyancing is the process of transferring title to real estate from one person to another. By definition, it is a simple process however that is rarely the case.

By appointing a solicitor to act for you in a conveyance, you are engaging a professional to take the time to review, consider and advise you on the terms of the Contract.

It’s more than likely the Contract will include numerous terms and conditions, some of which are unfamiliar. It’s also likely that the substance of the Contract (the property) is, based on monetary value, your biggest asset. Therefore, its wise to take your time and appoint a skilled professional who you are comfortable with.

After all, the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweet taste of low price is forgotten.
